We’re two months away from the one-year anniversay of “CA – but not the state”, so what better time than now to greatly expand this from a personal boredom-fighting venture into a far more epic blogging network. At least twice as epic, in fact.

Along with a name change from “CA – but not the state” to “CA: The Original Bullshish” come four other bloggers. Bullshish.com will no longer lead directly to my blog. Instead, it’ll link to a more definitive Hub blog to track what’s going on around the site on all of the blogs connected here. Now, without further ado, here’s a breakdown of the blogs you’ll find here as well as the people behind them (according to me):

1. CA: The Original Bullshish by Caleb Abel

You’re here right now. I started this blog last summer as a place for me to babble about movies and I’m not planning on quitting it anytime soon. Themed months such as Horrorfest, Christmasfest, or Monster MAYhem will come and go, but the focus here will always be on movies,  both old and new.

2. Doug’s Take by Doug Dickinson

Doug’s technically been a part of Bullshish since about two months after I first started my blog, but we’ve never really done anything to incorporate the two beyond sharing similar web-addresses. Doug’s big thing up to this point has been various lists, including fairly regular countdowns of past Best Picture nominees. When his tiny town actually gets in a movie worth going to, we might be lucky enough to get a new movie review.

3. Chenders by Chris Henderson

Chris is our resident horror movie expert. He’s the mastermind behind Horrorfest’s movie roster and hopefully he’ll keep us posted on what new horror movies are coming out or what old ones are worth getting ahold of. I know he knows his stuff, but this is the first blog he’s ever had so the hope is that he’ll work up the motivation to stick with it.

4. ConMan Projects by J. Connor Cummins

Connor has been a regular in the comments section here for a while. This is his second (and a half?) attempt at a regular blog, but since he’s finally winding down on grad school, we’re hoping he’ll be able to get new content up more often. Topics may include anything from movies to books to more movies.

5. improbable fiction by Lauren Tidmore

Lauren has somehow survived as the only person from high school that I still talk to multiple times per week, and the root of that is due to the fact that shortly after I started my blog last year, I found out that she had recently started one herself. The original improbable fiction will continue as Lauren’s own version of SuperBull, but when I asked her to join the Bullshish network as the female perspective on all things entertainment, she seemed pretty happy to jump onboard. Lauren’s blogging forte is books of all sorts, her movie major is Chick Flicks and her tone of choice is sarcasm. She’s pretty great.

6. SuperBull by Caleb Abel

This secondary blog of mine started when I came to the realization that I needed a separate place to talk about things like my stupid hair or my childhood toys. It’s all goofy, dumb nothingness.

And that is the new Bullshish.
