What You Need

Premonition. One of my favorite powers (mostly because I believe I have some form of it myself). This small old man named Pidot just so happens to be blessed with it.  And it’s used very well in this case.

This episode aired on December 25, 1959. Merry Christmas

SO, this little street merchant goes around selling nicknacks such as matches or shoelaces, until he gets a vision about the person he’s selling to, then he tells them “what they need” and gives it to them for free. Whether it be a bus ticket, or spot remover.

Then comes this one guy, who catches on to Pidot’s power and tries to force him into using the power for his own greed, Pidot has no choice but to give him what he needs. First, it’s a a pair of scissors, to cut his scarf loose when it gets stuck in the elevator. Then, it’s a leaky fountain pen that shows him the winning horse. The last item he gives him is a pair of leather soled shoes.

And that’s exactly what Pidot needed.  Great episode. And their use of premonition was flawless. They set ground rules and followed them to a tee.
